Secret Stashes

Due to the result of disappearing toothbrushes in our house we purchased one of these today. (Every little boy dreams of having a hot wheels toothbrush, right?) I have decided that I think my son has a secret hiding spot, that still I have not been able to locate. It is this or I am losing my mind, I choose the hiding place.

Many a things have gone missing around here, I have been through my house three times and not been able to find the missing items. . .

which then leads me to think that the secret

stash is in the garbage can.

I think this due to that fact that I caught him yesterday throwing away one toothbrush (which as a result of this action the said toothbrush remained in the trash), a dish towel and a wipes case.

So now i fear that my Camera CD is in the trash that has been hauled away.

This little man is one busy body!!!

Organization!

So lately I have been feeling overwhelmed with the lack of storage and overabundance of THINGS in my house. Today I remedied that problem. I stormed through Parks' room, putting clothes that were too small up, throwing things away, like Huggies sample that i got when he was born, (obviously Hailey you are not going to use it . . . get rid of it!). putting things in new places, putting toys away, I dusted, swept and mopped, did laundry, which helped me think my house was more put together. Then during nap time, I STORMED through the dreaded den and closet. . . I SURVIVED and it looks great!!!!
I love a productive Monday!!!
ps I did meal planning for two weeks! Trying new things and sticking to the menu!

There is no such thing as small change. . .

I have a painting in my family room that states that, 'there is no such thing as small change'. I am really feeling that this weekend as the fact that my parents will be moving to the Phoenix, AZ area this summer sinks in. I just ooze with depression when I think of this and all the things we do together and the way that our lives are intertwined here in Reno. I am sad that I will not boat this summer with my family, that I will not be able to drive ten minutes to my parents house to hang out while Jeramy works or to go there on Sundays for dinner, I will not be able to go to lunch with my mom and my sister, among other things that come to mind about every ten minutes. I know that this is good and will be good for all of us, I am having a terrible time admitting it. My sister and I will be here(until she leaves for school or some other adventure she comes up with), Garret will be at BYU and my parents will be in AZ with Derek, the new only child. Ahh weird.

In case you all were wondering it is a little over twelve hours in the car to Phoenix from Reno, just a little longer than the cabin trip. And yes I am constantly devising a way to move there, totally lame, but I am.

SO if any of you know anyone who lives there and knows good areas to live, for school, good ward, etc. let me know, my PARENTS (not me) need some contacts down there!

Oh the things this year will bring!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

So we enjoyed our holidays very much and I seriously cannot believe they are over so quick and now out of site! This year we spent Christmas in Fallon, we drove out on Christmas eve (even though Jeramy had to work that evening he drove me out and went back to work then came back out to Fallon , soo nice). Jeramy's mom made a delicious Christmas Eve dinner, then we Danced and sang while we watched MAMMA MIA(here i go again. . . my my . . . ). Then Jeramy and I were up when Santa came to set up Parks' way cool transformers tent! So I remember Christmas being fun and exciting as a kid, but I tell ya nothing compares to seeing the cute excitement of your child when he sees that tent! Jeramy and i were so giddy and excited for him! We had a wonderful Christmas morning, and then just relaxed the rest of the day, then we had to head home that afternoon.

Then we traveled to Ely Nevada for Jeramy's grandmother's funeral, who passed away the Friday before Christmas. It was a good drive till our car had some trouble outside of Austin. SO like 8 degrees outside, it is dark, no cell phone service, and our car is struggling! Yes i had horrible thoughts about how we would spend the night out in the cold and thank goodness that when we travel in the winter I insist on taking food water and blankets for such an incident! But thank goodness we made it to Eureka to the sheriff's station to call Jeramy's dad. So it was a very long day, but it was great to meet Jeramy's aunts and uncle and cousins that I had never met, and it was fun to see where his mother and grandparents lived. Really great stories.

For new years we wnet to dinner as a family to Texas Roadhouse. Horrible wait, complained, got a free appitizer, great waitress, good food, fabulous baked sweet potatoes with marshmellows. Then came home and fell asleep on the couch (yes both of us) at ten! Not exctactly the party I was hoping for!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

p.s. I made it through the first sunday of the year in Primary!!!!! YEAH for us girls!! (I do want to know why it is a fast sunday, cant they change it? We need a lot of energy for that day. Oh well.)
