In memory of My Prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley

Last night while visiting with my parents on our weekly Sunday visit, my dad received a text message from a co-worker that lives in Utah, that stated that President Hinckley had passed away. My first reaction was disbelief, I really couldn't believe that he had really left us. I thought how could we go on with out such a wonderful and endearing leader. Then as time stood still for a second I realized it was all going to be fine, and he had finally met back up with his eternal companion. And that the Lord has a plan and it would now be someone else to lead us and guide us into the future.

Gordon B. Hinckley was 'my' prophet. He is the only one I clearly remember. He was diligent and faithful in all his callings. He did a lot of good things for the Church of Latter of Latter Day Saints. He encouraged the building of many new temples, so that all could have the oppurtunity to attend the temple, I am grateful for this because i was able to be married in the Reno temple, close to home and family and friends. I will never forget him swing his cane in circles as he walked across the stage. I never knew him or met him but I loved him! He will be missed. I loved reading all the statements from our countries leaders an all the wonderful things they said and thought of our prophet. He did touch so many lives. He was genuine and he truly had a sparkle in his eye, that transpired through paper photos. Good Bye President Hinckley, I cant wait to meet you later!

Good Bye To Customer Service, And My Beloved Target

So I am officially not shopping at Target, sadly. I hate the new return policy!!!! No returns without a receipt, I bought a pair of pants with a gift card i got for Christmas (Thanks Jeramy) and some one was kindly cleaning out my diaper bag (Thanks Jeramy, again) and threw the receipt to the pants away. well of course i am still trying to figure out what size I am after parks and I got a size too small. So i went to Target and just asked if i could get a bigger size, no money back just a bigger size. NO. Because I did not have a receipt. If the pants were under $20 then I could, but they were $22.99!!! So absolutely furious i was walking around the store and i ran into a manager, I explained my situation, told him I understand the policy, I worked retail before, but this one time I did not have a receipt and I just wanted a bigger size! I did not steel the pants! So he said all they could do at the store was call 800 number and maybe they could over ride it. So I told him that they did not give me that option and I felt like no one cared about me as a customer! And that I was just not going to shop here any more. So he walked me up to the front dialed the number and waited. So then this lady from Hong Kong asked me all this info then proceeded to tell me that she could not help me because I did not have a receipt!!!!! And that no one can over ride target policy!!!!!!! So then i hung up the phone and now i am almost in tears, and the manager asked what happened so I told him and he said he was sorry, then the girl at the desk says "well you could donate it to charity and then claim it on your taxes." I seriously could not believe that she told me to do that. I just looked at her and the manager and said that I don't do that and that I would not me shopping here any more. I am so disappointed in customer service these days. No one cares about any customers, I shopped diligently at Target weekly.

So now I say goodbye, not goodbuy, to Target. I shall miss you very much, we have grown so much together, since as a child I have great memories of going and strolling the isles with my mom and a good bag of popcorn. Maybe one day we can work threw this, but I have to learn to trust you again. So long good friend, Target.

My New Talents

Parks has a couple of new talents. He rolls over, which is so cute, he hates it when he is on his stomach for too long, but he has not mastered the stomach to back roll yet. He now sticks his tongue out and talks, it is hilarious. And he holds his bottle, well when he wants to. It is funny because it is a little heavy for him and it will flip out of his mouth and get milk all over his face and even in his eyes but he doesn't really care. He thinks it is great.

I LOVE DADDY!

Parks loves Jeramy. He seriously gets so excited when he comes home, he kicks his legs smiles and squeels when he sees him. So CUTE!

Finally!!

Yeah! Parks finally got his tooth. This tooth took forever, or so it felt like it, he has not been himself, when it comes to sleep at least. SO yay for the second tooth!

You can kind of see the first tooth in this pic along with some drool. YUM.

Our White Christmas

We had a wonderful time in Idaho. there was a lot of snow, it was peaceful and relaxing. Jeramy snowmobiled and built fires, I just relaxed and ate a lot. The week before we went Parks was so disgruntled, I thought that is was maybe his shots that he got on Monday, but he was still so CRANKY on thursday as i was trying to pack. I just did not know what to do with him. W ell my cousin was playing with him on Saturday and he was chewing on her finger and YES! Sure enought there was a tooth! Parks got his bottom left front tooth for Christmas. So oficially my gummy little boy is growing up!

Parks was into Christmas more than I thought he would be, he really enjoyed the wrapping paper. Jeramy and I got him a banket and some drums that he thinks are cool cause they light up.

It is now official, I have a new calling, in the PRIAMRY PRESIDENCY!!! I am second councelor. I was really nervous at first, but now I am so excited and really looking forward to working with the wonderful ladies I am serving with. I am so excited to follow thier example and learn from them! Well thats what is going on in ourlives, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!

Cornbread

Well I just finished getting ready so that we can leave for Idaho in the morning. We are going to Island Park to my parents cabin. I am sooooooooo excited, we are going to do nothing for four days!!! YEAH!!!! Well Parks has been interested in food lately, not eating it but watching everything Jeramy and I put into our mouths. SO my mom and i were at Marie Calendar's the other day and he just kept staring very intently at our food. Well we decided to let him try the cornbread. He was not really sure he liked it. he kept gagging a little on it. I love this picture because you can see the cornbread on his tong. He really is the CUTEST baby I have ever seen!!!!!!!!
